As a local, small ran pest control company in the Richmond, Virginia area, I understand the importance of having a secure network. I joined BOM last year, 2021. Since joining the organization, I have met a handful of industry leaders that have not hesitated to share and pass on knowledge to help expand my industry mindset and leadership skills. My very first in-person encounter with the organization occurred in November 2021 in Las Vegas at the industry-leading event, Pest World. By being a member, I was able to experience meeting the President of NPMA and spending the evening hours in the presidential suite of a luxury Vegas hotel. At the event, I was able to meet many leaders of the BOM organization and gave full attention to the presentations they made to new members of the group. This was a humbling and surreal experience. I am grateful to be surrounded by a group of Veteran industry leaders as they share all the important aspects of growing a pest control brand. I highly recommend all newcomers in the pest industry, specifically minority-owned and operated businesses, have a conversation with one of the BOM reps to learn how they can assist best. I have learned it’s not always about what you know but who you know.
